Cushion Cover Designs

A cushion cover is the lowest-cost way to change the look of your sofa and table.

A cushion cover is the lowest-cost way to change the look of your sofa and table. LaMua cushion covers measure 40x40 cm, have a zip and are sold without an inner cushion; you slip your own cushion into the cover and take the cover off to machine wash it.

40x40 cushion covers: patterned and decorative

All designs are 40x40 cushion covers. If you are looking for a patterned cover, there are floral, geometric and animal designs; use one on the sofa as a decorative cushion cover on its own or together with the runner in the same pattern.

Every cover belongs to a pattern collection. The same collection also has a table runner, placemats and coasters; with the cushion on the sofa and the runner on the table, living room and dining table speak the same language. Floral, geometric, animal and linen-look grounds are available; each product page has a close-up of the fabric.

Which size, how many?

Two cushions are enough for a three-seater sofa, one for an armchair or single seat. A 40x40 cm cover looks fuller with a 45x45 cm inner cushion. We explain how to choose the size in our article on cushion cover sizes and the care steps in our care guide.

Buying a set

Cushion covers are sold individually; in our table setting sets, which combine a runner, placemats, coasters and cushion covers, the pieces cost less than buying them one by one. Within Türkiye, shipping on table setting sets is always free; on cushion cover orders it is free from 1,000 TL and 85 TL below that.

What Is a Cushion Cover?

A cushion cover is a replaceable fabric cover that slips over a cushion whose inner pad is separate. Without replacing the pad, you can reset the colour and pattern of a room just by changing the cover; it is the quickest decorating update when the seasons change. Check on the product page whether the inner pad is included.

What Sizes Are the Cushion Covers?

The sizes in the collection are 40x40 cm and 43x43 cm. Choose a cover the same size as the inner pad or one to two centimetres smaller: a cover larger than the pad looks wrinkled, while a slightly smaller cover makes the cushion look fuller. 40x40 cm is the most common size for side-by-side use on a three-seater sofa.

How Many Cushions Should You Use?

Two or three cushions usually look balanced on a three-seater sofa, and two on a two-seater. Mixing different patterns from the same series instead of a single pattern creates a livelier whole; as long as the colour palette stays shared, the variety of patterns does not look messy.

What Are the Cushion Covers Made Of?

LaMua Home cushion covers are 100% polyester. Polyester keeps its colour for a long time, does not crease easily and is machine washable, which makes it practical for sofas used every day.

How Do You Wash a Cushion Cover?

Machine wash at 30 °C on a delicate programme with similar colours.
Do not use bleach.
Do not tumble dry; dry in the shade.
Iron at a low temperature.
Before washing, remove the cover from the pad and close the zip.

What to Look For When Choosing a Cushion Cover

First determine the size of your inner pad and choose the cover to match. Then think about the colour of your sofa: on a plain sofa a patterned cushion, and on a patterned sofa a simple cushion or one from the same palette, creates balance. Finally, consider how often you will wash it; zipped covers come off the pad easily.
